OMENESA ORUMA AKOMOLAFE AKA: LADY O: Coming to you from Louisville, Kentucky USA is the Daughter of Bishop Ben & Rev (Mrs.) Joy Oruma( General Overseers of City Breakthrough Chapels, World Wide). Omenesa means, “My Own is Unique” in the Urhobo Delta Dialect. Only in her twenties, this young vibrant Lady is a Wife, Singer, Preacher, Mentor, Entrepreneur, Radio & Television Host, Model, Teacher, Life Coach, Gospel Artist, Song Writer, Author, Free Lance Writer, Poet, Fashion Designer, Personal Fashion Shopper for Busy Professionals( Senators Wives, Celebrities, etc), Make Up Artist, Beauty Consultant, Africa Face of Jane TV Network, (Cincinnati, Ohio USA), Gospel Dream Semi Finalist, American Idol Participant, BET Sunday Best Participant, and Guidance Counselor, whose life is reaching many around the world. Lady O is the CEO/President of Pearls International (A Fortress catered to bring emotional healing to Every Woman; Single Mothers who have been ostracized & many who seek restoration). She hosts Pearls Support Group every month, a forum for women to vent and recover their zest for life. She obtained a Certificate in Child Psychology at Stratford Career Institute in Montreal Canada via Correspondence, Bachelors in Church Ministries at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie Texas USA.
A Masters in Human Services with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy at Liberty University, Lynchburg Virginia USA. The name, “Lady O” was given to her by Beyonce’s Destiny’s Child Member, Michelle Williams, who was a Judge on Gospel Dream the season Omenesa competed in Nashville Tennessee, 2009. Since then, Omenesa accredited it to her stage name. At 9 years old, she sang in a crowd of 20,000 people at a crusade in Maiduguri, Nigeria which ignited the fire and fervor she has for God’s purpose. At the age of 11, she was diagnosed with Scoliosis, the curvature of the spine that threatened her life. A promised 11 hour surgery at Cleveland Ohio, USA, extended to 18 hours, and at every event, Omenesa does not hesitate to share that she is alive today, only by the grace of God.She has opened up at ministrations of Judy Jacobs, Bill Winston, Dr Patricia Bailey, Benny Perez, Darlene Bishop, Danny Glover, Kinsley Ike, Bob Alonge, Bishop Wale Oke, DaTruth, Pastor E Adegboye, Pastor Steve Turpin, Pastor Ayo Oritsijafor, Tunde Bakare, Taribo West, Shirley Arnold, Panam Percy Paul, Brotha Martins, and many more. She is the Proprietress of Pearl Rocks College, a Mentoring School for Ladies Ages 18 to 40.
She is also the Senior Executive Interviewer for Authentic Worship (an Outreach in Sandston Johannesburg, South Africa). She and her husband (Omoniyi J Akomolafe( AKA: El-gibbor) are Singles and Married Mentors for Abuja Singles Breakthrough Night, with Sam Oye .They are also Hosts for P4 Conferences in Africa and USA. Lady O organizes Youth Workshops, Choir Workshops, and directs choirs for Crusades & Events. She is known for her endnote, SOAR HIGH. Omenesa brags about her Parents for giving her the greatest gift of all, introducing her to Jesus Christ, and when asked to give a sentence to the world, Omenesa says, “It is not enough to wake up in the morning. You have to get out of bed.”
